Welcome to our Forms page! Below you will find our Agency Interest Form, VALE Membership Application, Volunteer form, Vendor Form, and the VALE Officer of the Year form. Please click on the links below and fill out the form completely. If filling out the Agency Interest Form, once submitted it will be forwarded to the agency you listed. If filling out the Mike Walter Memorial Officer of the Year Award form all forms are due by 12/01. The winner will be announced on 01/09. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to VALE. Mike Walter Memorial Officer of the Year Award
The Mike Walter Memorial Award will be presented to a Virginia law enforcement officer each year. The officer selected will be chosen from nominations made by community members and law enforcement agencies from across Virginia. Any current officer in Virginia is eligible for the award. The officer that will receive this award will demonstrate the dedication, commitment, service, and excellence to his/her community that Special Agent Mike Walter did to his. SA Mike Walter served in the US Marines, the Virginia State Police, as a wrestling coach and even opened and started the Blackhawk Gym in Powhatan, VA. His dedication to the youth of Powhatan through wrestling was unparalleled.
Virginia Special Agent Michael Walter, along with his wife Jamie and Richard FitzSimmons, founded Powhatan Youth Wrestling and Community Development Corporation as a non-profit in 2008. To the Blackhawk Gym members and wrestlers, he was known as “Coach Mike”. Coach Mike founded the club for the purpose of molding and shaping our youth to become our future leaders.
The Mike Walter Memorial Officer of the Year Award to a Virginia Law Enforcement Officer that best exemplifies and carries on Mike's tradition of commitment and service to their community.
